Center Stage

Seriously’s Heart Tour

Seriously is an up-and-coming Asian American band, made up of four young men from Diamond Bar, California. The four guys began playing together in a local church and came together to compete in LA’s premier Asian American talent show, Kollaboration, in 2006, where they won the Grand Prize with their song, “Irony.” Since their winning performance at Kollaboration, they were signed by Woody Pak, CEO/ producer of Chaos Theory Music.

The Heart Tour will take place between April 5th and April 25th, 2008 and will span both coasts. Their first stop will be at Georgetown University for VASCON 4, and then they will head back to the West Coast for a five-college tour with stops at UC Berkeley, Stanford, UC Davis, UCSD, and UCI. After that, they will fly to New York City for the Asian Cultural Festival on April 25th. For more information, please see the Events Section below or visit www.chaostheorymusic.net.

Asian American Music Showcase #13

Asian American Music Showcase #13 – It has been over a year since the Asian American Music Showcase started up, and my, how it’s grown. It began as the brainchild of Alex Yeung of Monkey King Records as a way to showcase the hidden and undiscovered Asian American talent from the San Francisco area. Today it is a concert that is not to be missed.

They are now on their LUCKY 13th installment and it looks like a great lineup as usual. On Thursday, April 10th, 2008 they will tear down the Rock It Room with a bill that features the Jumping Jacks, All Ages, and Resin 7. For more information, please see the Events section below or simply log on to www.monkeykingrecords.com.
