Center Stage

Phonofly

Phonofly’s mixture of rock-soul hotness, intricate guitar riffs, and a reggae tinge creates a sound that’s simple to enjoy and dance to, but that still remains lush in its creativity. Phonofly's intoxicating mix of elements, in a sense reflective of the colorful mix of styles in their Bay Area home-base, uplifts live listeners and can be heard on their debut album, "What You Seek."

With the launch of www.phonofly.com to keep you updated on the latest happenings with the band. If you have been on the site lately, you would know that they have just dropped their debut album, “What You Seek” and they are throwing an all-out CD release party in their hometown of San Francisco (information in the Events section, below). For more information on the band, the new album and the CD release party, please visit their new site.

Gossip, News & Randoms:
What's going on with Asian and Asian American Artists

Woody Pak - ‘HYPED Urban Remix’ is a rap and rock fusion producing a sound similar to old school mashups like Run DMC’s mix with Aerosmith, and new school ones from artists like Girl Talk. The difference in Woody Pak and Prime’s ‘Hyped’ is that they are mashing up their own creative influences to make one song, bringing listeners the best of both worlds. Woody Pak’s live instrumentation blends nicely with the rhythm and phrasing of Prime’s rapping to make a very unique rap-rock blend.

Watch the ‘HYPED Urban Remix’ music video as well as the ‘Out of the Box: HYPED Urban Remix’ short documentary on their website, and don’t forget to purchase your copy of the ‘HYPED Urban Remix’ EP Single from the Chaos Theory Music Online Store, www.chaostheorymusic.net today!

Putnam Hall - What has the band been up to? They are in the studio recording and have been doing a lot of writing!! They are going to put out a full-length record with all-new material. Some of you guys have heard the new stuff at Chain and HOB, but they hope that the songs make some heads explode (in a good way). They are putting all of their hearts and souls into this album, it's going to be definitively Putnam Hall. Look out for it - it's going to be a lot of fun. In the meantime, they've posted the long awaited live video for "Fight the Format". Watch and enjoy. For more information, log on to
