Karaterice Will Rock You Long Time!

Karaterice specializes in bringing the best of the Asian Underground music scene to music lovers. Genre doesn't matter to them; they just enjoy music and working with bands. They keep things fun, simple, and straightforward. They are a very small piece of the music entertainment pie, but a very delicious one with no trans fats. They rock hard, and rock long time.

This Saturday, March 29th, 2008, Karaterice presents We Rock You Long Time 2; a music showcase that is in its second year. This time around they have invited four talented bands to be showcased at The Knitting Factory in New York City: The Netherlands, Object, Taigaa and Fan-Tan. Dengue Fever - Their unique pop/world music sound has garnered critical acclaim since Escape From Dragon House debuted. In 2005, the editors of online retail giant Amazon named their record the #1 International release of the year. In 2006, Mojo (U.K.) named the same album one of the Top 5 World Music releases of the year. The New York Times, Associated Press, Pitchfork, Los Angeles Times, BBC, Reuters Television, Spin, NPR, and other influential outlets have praised the band’s psychedelic Khmer Rock sound.

The band just premiered the music video for "Seeing Hands", the lead single off their latest album, Venus on Earth. Also, Dengue Fever will be coming to Houston, Texas for a show at the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art on Saturday, March 29th, 2008.
