PaperDoll delivers pop at its best, blending skilled instrumentation with solid hooks and refreshingly honest vocals. DJ Cheb i Sabbah - Algerian Cheb i Sabbah started spinning world music records in Paris in 1965 and never looked back. Today he resides in San Francisco and is the namesake behind hugely successful Indian and Moroccan electronica records on Six Degrees Records. His DJ sets have been known to send dancers into ecstatic fits of rapture. From a man whose mind holds such an expansive catalog of international sounds, this is hardly surprising.

A few issues ago, ImaginAsian Radio announced that Cheb i Sabbah was releasing a new record, Devotion, on January 29th, 2008. Now, to commemorate the release, Worldly is hosting an event taking place this Saturday in San Francisco. Many of the top names in world music will be on hand, including Karsh Kale, Janaka Selekta, Bobby Friction, and the man himself, Cheb i Sabbah, just to name a few.
