The Sulu Series is hosted by Regie Cabico, curated by Artistic Director Taiyo Na, musically shaken by resident crowd mover DJ Boo, and brought to you by the Sulu Artist Network. It features Asian American performers in music, spoken word, video, and multidisciplinary performances from the local and national scenes. It is named after Dr. Sulu of Star Trek, the first Asian American character to venture into unknown galactic quadrants, as well as a remote island in the Philippines.

Effective immediately, this showcase will happen every third Sunday of the month. So please, mark it in your calendar. This month the Sulu Series will feature Ngo Thanh Nhan, Jeannel Garcia, Vinh Hua, Rachelle A. Cruz, and Jay Legaspi. Dana Leong - Composer, performer, and producer Dana Leong fuses hip-hop, jazz, rock propulsions, as well as classical and cinematic soundscapes to create a signature hybrid sound. Artfully commanding cello, trombone, and laptop, this Asian-American artist of Chinese and Japanese descent is breaking down artistic and cultural boundaries. Along the way, she is collaborating, inventing, recording, touring and garnering critical acclaim.

Wednesday, November 14 will mark two momentous occasions for the man and his band. First, there will be a CD release party for Anthems of Life. It is the first full record completed in his recording studio; and it has been a full time project for almost a full year! This will be your first official chance to grab a copy of the album. They're going to blow this show out with tons of special guest. Also, this date will mark the kick-off of their Southeast Asia Tour, sponsored by Jazz at Lincoln Center and the State Department. Over the next two months, The Dana Leong Band will hit up some hidden gems of the Asia Pacific region, including Papua New Guinea, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and more. Pancrase - Here at ImaginAsian Entertainment, Inc. we premiered of a new show on our network, entitled Pancrase - Legends of Mixed Martial Arts, on November 7. Pancrase is a unique sport that blends the world's most effective and exciting combat disciplines, including boxing, karate, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, judo, kick-boxing, sambo, and Thai boxing.

The closing of each episode will feature an uptempo song from one of the featured artists on ImaginAsian Radio.
