Center Stage

Worldly: The Largest Showcase of Clubland World Music in the U.S.

WORLDLY: America's premiere global beats showcase returns with Asian Dub Foundation co-founder Dr. Das' first U.S. solo gig and sets by Karsh Kale, Cheb i Sabbah, Janaka Selekta, DJ Sep, DJ Dragonfly and DJ Amar. Also, representing a 500-year tradition of classical Indian and folk music Sukhawat Ali Khan and Riffat Sultana live, including a showcase of tribal belly dance with Frederique, Freyja and Medina. Finally, a sanctuary renowned for its hospitality through its years of service in the Black Rock Desert designs a space rich in Middle Eastern chill, luxurious carpets, and hookahs. As always 1015 Folsom will be transformed by paintings and artwork of Nyomi and production design of Glory STGO.

WORLDLY continues to bring the brightest stars of the global electronica scene to San Francisco with shows attended by over 1400 revelers. During the past two years they have celebrated the music of State of Bengal (Anokha), Bobby Friction and Nihal (BBC Radio 1), Visionary Underground UK. What's going on with Asian and Asian American Artists


Rex Navarrete – Rex Returns to Manhattan for three nights, February 28th to March 2nd, 2007 at the Laugh Lounge, also featuring Air Tabigue. ImaginAsian Radio was present at his past NYC shows and take it from us, you do not want to miss this man and his standup routine. Rex Navarette has been a featured subject in ABS-CBN's "Stateside" weekly program airing in the U.S. where he was seen on TFC's "Stateside" program with his very own segment, "Rex Files: Pinoy Undercover" which aired internationally on ABS-CBN's The Filipino Channel satellite service.

Sub Swara – The boys have been brining us banging monthly live sets and special guests from all over the globe and this month’s Sub Swara delivers more of the same. This month they import edIT from the West Coast. edIT was named URB magazine’s Top 100 Artists to watch out for in 2006 and he is here to show you why.
