ImaginAsian Radio would like to start off by wishing all the DJs, musicians and audience members out there a VERY Happy New Year and thank you guys for all the support you have shown. This year was a very eventful year for iaRadio; our 24/7 streaming started, not to mention the very eventful Stream Out Loud launch party in NYC, shout out to Miss Info and all the performers made it an unforgettable night. The year was filled with ImaginAsian Radio sponsored events and concerts, interesting personalities that dropped in for interviews, not to mention the beginning of the distribution of ImaginAsian Radio Newsletter.

For those faithful listeners, you may have noticed that the stream has been down. Do not fret, we are working on a bigger and better ImaginAsian Radio for 2007. The stream will be back up and running in a week’s time. DJ Rekha – For all the NYC heads, DJ Rekha is launching Beat Bazaar. Beat Bazaar is a weekly Friday night party at the Canal Room. A global mix of urban sounds. DJ Rekha and Eddie Stats dig through their crates and other forms of musical media to take you on a global journey of their favorite rhythms. Maneesh the Twister – Maneesh the Twister of Dhamaal has wounded down operations with the collective and has started a new project entitled Surya Dub which will be focused on Global Dubwize Vibes and Dread Bass Culture - more of a dub aesthetic but still incorporating a world element. He will be launching in the new year so join him in kicking things off proper on Sat Jan 27th @ Club Six. Look out for collaborations with the Sub Swara crew in ’07 as well!
